This is Bunny Colvin-esque levels of thinking outside of that box!

And then, to make matters even more spooky:

“We’re determined to cut red tape and ensure police officers are best placed to make decisions about local policing,” Mr McNulty said.

That’s a Tony McNulty, not a Jimmy.

Moog releases guitar, gets Lou Reed to play it

http://www.moogmusic.com (there’s a vid currently on theie homepage).

What I don’t get, is if what you hear is the result of post processing, why not just release the processing unit, and let the guitarists ride their preferred axe? I don’t get what about the processing (essentially sustain and/or gate) can’t be achieved by playing a foot pedal? (This is not rhetorical - I would like to be proved wrong)

Also, why isn’t it called the Moogar?

Here I am riding my preferred axe the other week:

Ecce, live @ Concrete

It’s a Fender Nashville Telecaster, made in Mexico. The Nashville’s have an added Stratocaster pick-up between the two traditional Tele pickups. The switch is probably in the neck position in this photo, and several pedals are turned on to create a soundman’s worst nightmare/mask the odd bum note/make girls cry.

Monome: MLR Style With Enableton and Live

Filed under: monome, music gear — nick at 6:49 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2008

Following on fron the setup tutorial for Enableton, here’s a quick tutorial of how to use this to get MLR style functionality in Ableton Live. MLR is a sampler written by the Monome source himself, Tehn, for Max/MSP. It’s one of the Monome’s flagship programs, but unfortunately, while Live users would like to be able to use it alongside their Live projects, Max/MSP does not midi clock sync well with Live (though it works well the other way around). This tutorial will give you MLR style functionality within Live itself, cutting out the middle man, so to speak. (Read on …)
